Share a session

Send a specific replay to a teammate or client, even if they aren't in your workspace. They'll get an email with a watchable link.

From the replay page

1. Open the session you want to share.
2. In the right-hand sidebar, click Share.
3. Enter the recipient's email and click Send. They'll get a dark-themed email with a tokenised link.

Who can share

Only workspace Owners and Admins can issue share links. Members can view shared sessions sent to them but can't share their own. This is to prevent accidental leaks of sensitive recordings to outside the workspace.

Recipient experience

The recipient clicks the link in the email. If they aren't signed in to Replayful, they'll be prompted to sign up, it's free and unlocks the Shared with metab in their sidebar. The replay is bound to the email it was sent to, so someone forwarding the email to a third party won't grant them access.

Revoking access

Open the replay page in your own workspace, click Share again, and remove the email from the list. The link becomes dead immediately and the session disappears from the recipient's Shared with me tab.

Privacy reminder

Shared sessions inherit the same input-masking guarantee as regular replays: the recipient never sees what was typed into any form. They do see clicks, scrolls, navigation, and the page's rendered DOM, so don't share recordings of pages that display PII you'd rather an external person not see.
