Track conversions with goals

A goal is a URL pattern that counts as a conversion. Define them once and Replayful tracks who hit them, from where, and lets you watch the sessions behind the number.

Setting up a goal

Goals live per project under Settings → Goals. Give the goal a name and a URL pattern, using * as a wildcard:

  • /checkout/* — any URL under /checkout/
  • /book* — anything starting with /book
  • /thank-you — an exact match, no wildcard needed

As you type, the form shows a live "matches N sessions" preview, so you know the pattern hits real traffic before you save. You can define up to 20 goals per project.

AI-assisted goals

Most people don't know how to write a good URL pattern, so there's a "Describe it instead" box on the goal form. Type the conversion in plain language — e.g. "someone completes a booking" — and Replayful asks Claude to propose a goal name and URL pattern grounded in your site's actual recorded paths. The suggestion is prefilled into the form with the live match preview, so you can check it before saving.

Where conversions show up

Once a goal is defined, conversion counts and rates surface on the Acquisition and Behaviour analytics sub-tabs, broken down per channel and overall. A goal can also power a Goal-conversions embeddable widget for dashboards outside Replayful.
