Ask questions about your data
Every project has an Asktab that answers questions about your own analytics in plain language. It reads your sessions, traffic sources, behaviour and goals to answer — so you get the finding, not another chart to interpret.
Asking a question
Open a project and choose Ask. Type a question the way you would ask a colleague:
- "Where do most visitors drop off, and which page should I fix first?"
- "How many sessions have we recorded, and what are the top landing pages?"
- "Which goals are set up, and how many visitors converted?"
Answers are grounded in your recorded data. Replayful looks up the numbers before answering rather than guessing, and if your data cannot answer the question it says so instead of inventing a figure. Each visit starts fresh — conversations are not saved.
How many questions you get
Every workspace has a monthly question allowance, shared by everyone in it. The counter above the input always shows what is left.
- Free — 10 questions in total to try the feature. This is a one-off trial, not a monthly allowance: once it is used up, Ask stays closed until you upgrade.
- Starter — 25 questions per month.
- Growth — 100 questions per month.
- Agency — 500 questions per month.
- Enterprise— set by your contract.
Paid allowances reset on the 1st of each month. Unused questions do not roll over. Upgrading mid-month gives you the new plan's full monthly allowance straight away, even if you had already used up the free trial.
What counts as a question
One question is one answer. Two things share the allowance:
- Anything you ask in the
Asktab. - Each use of "Describe it instead" on the goals form, which is the same AI doing a smaller job.
If a question fails because something is wrong on our side — a network problem or an outage reaching the AI — the question is given back to you. You are never charged for our downtime. An answer that arrives but is not useful does still count, because the work was genuinely done.
When the allowance runs out
The input is replaced by an upgrade link, and the goal form's AI helper says the same. Nothing else about your workspace changes — recording, replay, analytics, alerts and widgets are unaffected. Either move up a plan or connect over MCP, which has no limit.
Who can use it
Anyone in the workspace, including Members, can ask questions — asking about analytics is a read, and Members can already read your analytics. Because the allowance is shared, that means any member can spend it. The goal form's AI helper is restricted to Owners and Admins, since saving a goal changes project configuration. See roles and permissions.
Privacy
Questions are answered using the data already in your workspace, and the AI is scoped to the one project you are asking about. Recorded input is masked before it ever reaches us (see how recording works), so the masking that applies to replays applies here too. Nothing you ask is used to train a model.
